Beacon of Music Foundation

As a provincially registered not-for-profit organization founded in 2016, through 220+ concerts, the Beacon of Music Foundation has seen 300 different musicians and 500 volunteers gain invaluable experiences and aspirations and realize that music is not just about practice and repetition but about touching people’s hearts and connecting them. By putting our time and effort into each music performance, we hope to inspire, uplift, and provide joy to the community. We host monthly concerts in senior homes to give performance opportunities for young, aspiring musicians while sharing the joy of music with those with more difficulty accessing it. Our concerts have also helped raise over $200,000 for various charities like BC Children's Hospital, BC Cancer Foundation, Canuck Place Children's Hospice, VGH + UBC Hospital Foundation, Kerrisdale Presbyterian Church Refugee Sponsorship Fund, and more.
